NFN New Music Review – MEREDITH ANDREWS : Heaven’s Frequency. (Curb Music)

Recorded in her hometown of Nashville at HopeUC, the all-new live project from Meredith Andrews  showcases the genuine anointing and bold authority Andrews harnesses as she leads a room full of worshipers to the throne of God. Patrick Mayberry joins Meredith for the first track, ‘Let Everything.’ “We’re bringing our worship as an offering,” she sings, and continues with “We sing praise the Lord, worthy of praise.” It’s a mid-paced song that flows nicely, with an engaging tune, too. The promise of God meeting us where we are, is the thrust of the following ‘Always Do,’ while there’s pure worship on ‘The Lamb, The Lion, The King.’ The latter reminded me of Hillsong’s ‘King of Kings’ in both song and vocal delivery. Occasionally, Meredith’s thin vocals get lost in the production, which is a pity. The 10 minute version of ‘No Weapon’ is one such example of this. There’s some nice cello moments accompanying the singer on ‘Safe Place,’ while ‘Over and Over’ is quite delightful. The song celebrate God’s faithfulness, demonstrated over and over again. The title track has a joyful feel about it, and this soon became my favourite song of the album. I warmed to Meredith’s vocals as the album progressed, and they’re at their best when not lost in a, sometimes, mushy production. ‘One Word’ is another highlight, as the song builds in power, glorifying the Lord. Overall, a very good release, only spoilt by the occasional sound blip.   7/10. Geoff Howlett.

Patrick Mayberry Hits First No. 1 At Radio With Psalm 23-Inspired “Lead On Good Shepherd” Featuring Zahriya Zachary

Single from Mayberry’s Centricity Music Debut Album, Wild Faith,

Is Mainstay at Radio for Over Seven Months

Centricity Music singer, songwriter and worship leader Patrick Mayberry’s Psalm 23-inspired “Lead On Good Shepherd” featuring Zahriya Zachary becomes his first No. 1 radio hit on the Mediabase Christian Audience Chart. The song from Mayberry’s acclaimed, first full-length album, Wild Faith, was released to radio Aug. 4, 2023 and has since been a mainstay on radio and during his touring coast-to-coast across the US and beyond.

Produced by Mayberry and Jacob Arnold, and written by Centricity Publishing’s Mayberry, Paul Duncan and Frankie Orella, “Lead On Good Shepherd” begins with a Grand Ole Opry-worthy spirit before morphing into a foot-stomping rock groove, turning the peaceful passage into a roaring celebration. Gathering airplay on 101 reporting stations and named by Amazon Music in its “Best of 2023: Christian” playlist, the single also includes a special version featuring Crowder.

“Psalm 23 always gets used as a comforting Scripture at funerals when I think it’s just such a comforting verse for life. This Good Shepherd promises to walk alongside us every single step of the way — providing for us, protecting us, telling us to rest, leading us by still waters,” Mayberry says. “God’s track record has proven He’s a good and faithful shepherd, so I’m going to keep following, step by step. I’m going to trust Him, so lead on, Good Shepherd.”

Along with the single, Mayberry’s Wild Faith welcomes everyone with untamed melodies and astute lyrics, all artfully crafted and intentionally threaded together to take listeners on a life-changing journey. With songs that can serve a Sunday worship service while also delving deeper into the human experience, the album encourages every sojourner with the truth that they’re never alone.

Passionate about seeing people connect with the heart of God through music and corporate worship, Mayberry takes his new music and fan favorites on tour nationally. Joining Jeremy Camp last fall, he has also traveled across the country with Crowder, Cory Asbury, We The Kingdom and more. On Aug. 6, 2024, he will join Katy Nichole, Casting Crowns, Danny Gokey, Tasha Layton and others for the KLOVE Live at Red Rocks event.

NFN Music Review – PATRICK MAYBERRY : Wild Faith. (Centricity Music)

Singer, songwriter and worship leader Patrick Mayberry releases his highly anticipated, first full-length Centricity Music album, Wild Faith. The main thrust of the song is to remind the listener that whatever we’re going through, we’re never alone with God in our lives. With the opening ‘Never Stop Singing’ there’s a celebration of that fact, on a very uplifting sound. The production on the early tracks are really full on, with a cacophony of sound, yet still giving room for Patrick’s vocals to shine through. On the title track, things get a bit slower with the claim that “Wild faith can’t be tamed, and is the better way.”  Crowder duets with Patrick on ‘Lead On Good Shepherd.’ The song really drives along with a terrific bridge; “Step by step, day by day; Lead me on, Lord I pray; Road gets dark, walk by faith; Lead on Good Shepherd.” Other great tracks  include the rousing ‘A Million Times,’ and ‘He Is.’ Indeed, as well as rousing there was a great joy to almost all the songs. A super album! 10/10.

“Lead On Good Shepherd” Already Top 25, Climbing At Radio

Mayberry Fall Tour With Jeremy Camp Begins Sept. 8

Singer, songwriter and worship leader Patrick Mayberry releases his highly anticipated, first full-length Centricity Music album, Wild Faith. Available now at digital and streaming outlets globally via https://fanlink.to/wildfaith, the album sets a large table for everyone with untamed melodies and astute lyrics, all artfully crafted and intentionally threaded together to take listeners on a life-changing journey.

Holding the tension of both sorrow and joy, meeting listeners in the depths of their humanity, the 10-song Wild Faith also swings the doors wide open for those who are walking circles in the wilderness. With songs that can serve a Sunday worship service while also delving deeper into the human experience, the album encourages every sojourner with the truth that they’re never alone.

“Anyone who has put their faith in Jesus is a son or daughter of the God of the Universe, who intimately knows them and cares about every little detail of their lives. Your biggest plans and wildest dreams for your life? God’s are likely wilder, bigger and crazier,” says Mayberry. “Following God can be scary, but I promise, following Him is always going to be deeper and richer and better.”

Patrick’s own journey of faith and Psalm 23 inspired the Wild Faith hit radio single, “Lead On Good Shepherd.” Released to radio last month, the song is already Top 25 and climbing on the MediaBase Christian Audience chart. Produced by Mayberry and Jacob Arnold, and written by Mayberry, Paul Duncan and Frankie Orella, the song begins with a Grand Ole Opry-worthy spirit before morphing into a foot-stomping rock groove, turning the peaceful passage into a roaring celebration.

Along with this single, which follows Wild Faith’s Air1-premiered hit worship anthem “Easy To Praise” to radio, there are two special versions of “Lead On Good Shepherd,” one featuring Crowder and the other with Zahriya Zachary. The album also includes “He’s Just That Good,” “Never Stop Singing” featuring David Leonard, and the introspective “A Million Times” that delves into Mayberry’s ability to detour into personal storytelling.

Singer, songwriter and worship leader Patrick Mayberry is set to release his highly anticipated, first full-length Centricity Music album, Wild Faith, Sept. 1. Available to pre-add/save now at https://fanlink.to/wildfaith, the album sets a large table for everyone with untamed melodies and astute lyrics, all artfully crafted and intentionally threaded together to take listeners on a life-changing journey.

An invitation to bravely explore the great unknown, Wild Faith expands Mayberry’s repertoire by effortlessly straddling the line between songs meant for congregational worship, concert experiences, radio airplay and personal reflections.

“We’ve domesticated our faith so much that we’ve taken the wild adventure out of it,” Mayberry contends of the soft and soaring “Wild Faith” title track that features guest vocals from Kalley Heiligenthal. “This whole past season of my life has been marked by stepping out in wild faith. I think the Lord was like, ‘You thought this song was for other people, but this song is for you, buddy.’ I’m asking God to guide my steps, and I’ll just keep taking ‘em.”

Along the way, Mayberry is praying Psalm 23, asking God to “Lead On Good Shepherd,” the name of an upbeat track that goes to radio Aug. 4.

“Psalm 23 always gets used as a comforting Scripture at funerals when I think it’s just such a comforting verse for life. I’m going to trust Him, so lead on, Good Shepherd.”

CHORUS:

Lead on, Good Shepherd

I’ll follow all my days

There ain’t nothing sweeter

Than to watch You make a way

You’ve walked me through the valley

But You never steered me wrong

So lead on good shepherd

Lead on

Along with this single, which follows Wild Faith’s Air1-premiered hit worship anthem “Easy To Praise” to radio, there is a special version of “Lead On Good Shepherd” available today and featuring Crowder, whom Mayberry toured with last year. The album also features “He’s Just That Good” and the introspective “A Million Times” that delves into Mayberry’s ability to detour into personal storytelling.

“As Christ followers, we’ve got a joy that’s anchored deep down in our souls. And while happiness is a fleeting emotion that comes and goes, this joy doesn’t waver,” says Mayberry. “‘Easy To Praise’ is a joy filled party; a worshipful response to all that Jesus has done—how he called us out of the grave, set our feet on solid rock, and gave us a brand new start and his Spirit that lives inside each of us. When I think about it, I can’t help but shout Hallelujah! God truly has made it easy to praise.”

Hallelujah my song for all my days

Hallelujah all to the God who saves

All of the songs were composed at Centricity Worship writing retreats where many well-known artists and songwriters from various record labels and publishing companies gathered to create music for the Church to sing.

Produced by Patrick Mayberry, the collaborative tracks on Centricity Worship And Friends include the Heath Balltzglier and Seth Condrey-led “No Other King.” Written by Mayberry, Chris Renzema and recent GRAMMY Award-winner Mitch Wong, the song was originally released on the current North Point Worship live album Our God Will See Us Through.

“King Jesus continues to defy our expectations,” says Wong. “We wrote this song about the mystery of who Jesus is; the humility, the kindness, the compassion that we wouldn’t first come to expect from royalty. No other king has loved as deeply, served so humbly, or triumphed as unequivocally as our King. We hope that this song will bring you back into wide-eyed wonder of Jesus.”

Jesus, no one is like You

Jesus, no one beside You

Of this I am convinced

No greater love exists

Forevermore my hope is in no other King

(From the “No Other King” chorus)

“The Centricity Worship And Friends EP is a beautiful collection of worship songs for the Church, filled with biblical truth and singable melodies,” remarks Mayberry, who not only produced the EP, but also co-wrote and is featured on some of the tracks.

Centricity Worship was created as a platform for song discovery with the goal of equipping the global Church with new and powerful worship songs. It’s foundation dates back to a series of songwriter retreats which birthed songs like Lauren Daigle’s “Come Alive (Dry Bones)” and Corey Voss’s “Nothing But The Blood.” These retreats have since become a part of Centricity Worship’s DNA.

“Centricity Publishing has been doing these worship retreats for years, and out of them have come some really powerful songs that have gone on to inspire worshipers around the world,” says Chad Segura,Vice President, Centricity Publishing. “Along with our own team of writers, we always like to invite other talented songwriters from around the industry as well. We love getting to do this with our friends. And in recording some of the favorite tunes from the resulting collaborations, our hope is that people will discover and connect with these songs, incorporating them into both their personal and corporate worship settings.”
