It will also be racked in Tesco and Sainsbury’s supermarkets in the UK ready for the Easter Weekend. Following a seven-year hiatus, internationally-renowned South African rock band TREE63 announce today the launch of a Kickstarter campaign for its fans to participate in the recording and promotion of its seventh full-length album slated for release Summer 2015. Following the enthusiastic reception the band received at a series of reunion events last year in South Africa (see live video from these events below), John Ellis (vocals and guitar), Darryl Swart (drums) and Daniel Ornellas (bass) reformed the trio and is in the studio now working on new music
DUKE SPECIAL will release his first album for three years when ‘Look Out Machines’ is issued on 30th March. The piano-playing songsmith with a full band will undertake a 21-date tour of the UK to be followed by a string of acoustic dates across Ireland. ‘Look Out Machines’ was written with collaborators Iain Archer, Phil Wilkinson and Gary Clark. It was recorded at Electric Studios in Eastbourne and produced by Dave Izumi
Flame-haired Texan poet PETER NEVLAND will be in the UK from April 4th-27th. Kicking off with a set at Spring Harvest in Minehead, Peter will be bringing the Tree of Psalms Tour to audiences in and out the church across the country. Aimed at bringing to life the beauty and power of the Psalm’s ancient poetry, the tour will feature spoken word performances, vivid historical teaching and Peter’s trademark madcap energy.There are still some dates available – Peter is a versatile performer guaranteed to bring life to any outreach event, social evening or Sunday worship. PHILIPPA HANNA has been announced as one of the recipients of the Music Export Growth Grant. This scheme offers grants to independent music companies to enable them to market successful UK artists overseas. For Philippa, this means she will now be able to return to Nashville to begin the process of recording a new album. It’s an exciting development, and one which will allow for a new, even bigger chapter in Philippa’s career.
