Jordan Feliz Hit Single “Beloved” Inspires Children’s Book

Beloved Book Releasing Sept. 20 From Centricity Music

Teaches Children That They Are Loved As A Child Of God

RIAA Gold®-selling, Dove Award-winning pop recording artist and songwriter Jordan Feliz was inspired by his firstborn baby girl, Jolie, to write and record “Beloved,” the title track to his debut album released in 2015. The song went on to encourage millions of listeners around the world, including noted children’s author Jes Woller and illustrator Hilary Griffith, who combine their talents for the heartwarming children’s hardcover book, Beloved, releasing today (Sept. 20) via Centricity Music in conjunction with Callawind Book Publishing. The book is available now to order from https://jordanfeliz.com/belovedbook.

Written by Woller, edited by Centricity Music’s Director Of Marketing and Communication, Kory Henkel, and beautifully illustrated by Griffith, this precious, 24-page read-aloud storybook for two- to six-year-olds teaches young children about finding their value not in the things of this world, but rather in the love of Jesus.

“Jolie, my love. ‘Beloved’ started as a reminder for you. A telling of the simple truth that you are loved and cherished by the creator of the universe,” says Feliz to his real-life daughter. “It is my deepest desire that you would never forget that it is in Him where your worth is found. Now it is a prayer that we get to proclaim over our entire family and the world!

“I pray that everyone who reads this book would be reminded of God’s love for them and that their identity in Him would be more solidified,” continues Feliz.

Beloved shares the story of a little girl, appropriately named Jolie, who spends a day at the beach with her father. Her dad, who bears a remarkable resemblance to the “Beloved” song’s author in the picture-book, tells his daughter she is “beloved.” Jolie spends the fun-filled day wondering about the meaning of the word, and how she can continue to be beloved by her daddy. Tucking her in bed as the day comes to a close, her father reveals that she will always be loved by him and her mommy, and even more so by Jesus, and goes on to share with his daughter the hope-filled message she enjoys as a child of God.

“It was such a privilege to work on this project and offer a reminder to children that they are loved and cherished, regardless of circumstances or their own efforts,” says Woller. “Beloved is a beautiful song, and my prayer is that this book can further emphasize how much value God places on us and how deeply each one of us is beloved.”

“We loved the song ‘Beloved’ since the first time we heard it,” adds Henkel. “We knew it was a special story and we wanted to give it a new life and relevance even seven years after it was first released. Jes wrote such a lovely manuscript and Hilary brought it to life in a remarkable way. We’re very proud of who Jordan is, not just as an artist, but as a dad. We’re thrilled to be able to bring this special song to life in a unique way.”

Singing “Beloved,” fan favorites and No. 1 radio hits like “Jesus Is Coming Back” and “Glorify” from his current, third full-length album Say It, Feliz recently wrapped his Jesus Is Coming Back headline tour with special guest Jonathan Traylor and is currently on the “Jesus People” tour with three-time GRAMMY nominee and American Idol alum Danny Gokey. Co-produced by Jordan Mohilowski and Feliz’s longtime collaborator Colby Wedgeworth, Say It combines pop, gospel and soul along with some of Feliz’s most transparent and personal lyrics to date.

Jordan Feliz Say It Album Opener “Jesus Is Coming Back” Becomes Gold-Selling Artist’s Fourth No.1 Radio Hit

RIAA Gold®-selling, Dove Award-winning pop recording artist and songwriter Jordan Feliz reaches radio’s top position for the fourth time this week as his celebratory “Jesus Is Coming Back” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Airplay and AC Indicator charts. The song, and its remix version featuring both GRAMMY Award-winning Mandisa and Motown Gospel/Capitol CMG artist Jonathan Traylor, are featured on the 18-track deluxe version of Feliz’s acclaimed, third full-length album Say It from Centricity Music.

The multi-format radio single is also the second No. 1 song on Say It, following the American-songwriter-featured AC/CHR hit “Glorify,” and points to the hope of Christians around the world, giving voice to those longing for a home other than ones built on earth.

“I am so blown away by the response for this song,” says Feliz. “It’s been such an incredible journey seeing God do so many amazing things with it! I can’t thank radio and my team enough for their belief in me and ‘Jesus Is Coming Back.’ A massive thank you to Colby Wedgeworth and Paul Duncan for making this song come alive with me. Grateful beyond measure to elevate the Name above all names!”

Setting the tone for Say It as the opening track, “Jesus Is Coming Back” and the full album were co-produced by Jordan Mohilowski and Feliz’s longtime collaborator Colby Wedgeworth. The album combines pop, gospel and soul along with some of Feliz’s most transparent and personal lyrics to date.

NFN Review Zone – JORDAN FELIZ : Say It. (Centricity Music)

Holder of the Dove Award 2016 for ‘New artist of the year’, the Tennessee-based and now well established “pop recording artist and songwriter” Jordan Feliz continues that early promise with this third full-length album, which according to the press release “includes his third No.1 radio hit ‘Glorify’ along with his highly personal ‘Wounds’, Parade-premiered ‘Next To Me,’ and the celebratory opener ‘Jesus Is Coming Back’”. Checking out Jordan’s previous offerings I can confirm that he maintains their quality here with an altogether very well performed and produced ccm album of well written songs, featuring overtly Christian lyrics that can clearly be followed. The upbeat and positive opener features an excellent gospel choir and is certainly lyrically appropriate to our current times (“when the world gets complicated”!), getting proceedings off to a great start. The effective medium-paced ‘Next to me’ is followed by the beautiful ‘Wounds’ – only spoilt somewhat by Jordan’s strange pronunciation of the word ‘heart’ (a ‘mangled word’ example a bit like later Adele or Elton John, if you get my drift!). ‘Glorify’ is a great gospel-choir-driven track. ‘Real me’ is followed by ‘When I say my prayers’ that describes prayers following the loss of a loved one. The strong ‘Only love’ leads into the slightly second rate ‘Stars in my sky’, then redeemed by ‘Another world’. This has to be my standout – an excellent slow ballad with an addictive hook that I’m still humming! The uplifting partly-almost-rap title track comes last – apart, that is, from two remixes of ‘Glorify’ and a strings-backing-only version of ‘Wounds’, which are good enough but don’t really add anything to the originals. Overall however, this release is a great example of quality current pop ccm – and it even features good sound! 9/10. Dave Deeks

Jordan Feliz Release Third Full Length Album

Gold-selling, Dove Award-winning pop recording artist and songwriter Jordan Feliz has globally releases his third, full-length album, Say It, from Centricity Music. Available now at digital, streaming and physical outlets internationally, the album features Feliz’s third No. 1 radio hit, “Glorify,” along with his highly personal “Wounds,” Parade-premiered “Next To Me,” and the celebratory opener “Jesus Is Coming Back,” the video for which premiered on CBN News’ Studio 5.

Topping the Billboard Christian Albums chart when his sophomore LP, FUTURE, released in 2018, Feliz returns with a healthy blend of pop, Gospel and soul along with some of Feliz’s most transparent and personal lyrics to date on Say It, which was premiere-streamed by CCM this week.

Co-produced by Jordan Mohilowski and Feliz’s longtime collaborator Colby Wedgeworth, Say It also features the vulnerable “When I Say My Prayers.” Written in part about the miscarriage Feliz and his wife suffered before they had their daughter Jolie and son Judah, the song explores the universal sentiment of loss.

“It’s about losing someone you’re just not ready to part with yet,” he explains. “But yet, as believers, we know that we’re going to get to see our loved ones again; and here on earth, we have the gift of being able to talk to Jesus about it and say, ‘What’s heaven like? Will You take care of him? Will You take care of her for me?’”

Looking to the hope of heaven is a theme that appears throughout the new collection with beat-heavy “Another World” pointing to the fact that we’re born longing for a different home than the one we build on earth.

“We were meant to thrive here, but we’re not meant to be here forever,” Feliz asserts. “It’s OK to feel out of place. It’s OK to feel like you’re not OK right now. It’s OK to have all those feelings, because we’re human, and we’re meant for heaven; we were created for that.”
