Elevation Worship Release ‘Graves Into Gardens: Morning & Evening.’

ELEVATION WORSHIP released their new album, Graves Into Gardens: Morning & Evening, recently on all global streaming services. This album is the group’s fresh take on the popular 2020 release Graves Into Gardens.

The project features new versions of the group’s hits, “RATTLE!” and RIAA Gold-Certified “The Blessing.” “Our hope is that God speaks, your faith is built, your perspective is lifted, and your awareness of His presence is strengthened. We pray these new versions find a way into your spirit and become the soundtracks of devotional time in the days ahead.”

The songs from Graves Into Gardens: Morning & Evening were written before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. “When the world seemed to be filled with one bad report after another, God gave us these songs as anchors of hope and declarations of faith,” says Chris Brown of Elevation Worship. “We thought it would be fun to get back into the studio and take a fresh look at some of the songs that have carried us through this season.”

The Review Zone – ELEVATION WORSHIP : Graves into Gardens.   (Elevation Worship Records)

Here we have the latest release from Elevation Worship. I’m sorry if I sound like a broken record but, I am getting rather tired of these mega church albums that sound so much alike. And, if that’s not bad enough, we’ve even got singers who sound the same too! At first , we found female vocalists copying the delivery of Darlene Zschech. Now, they all want to sound like Kim Walker-Smith. On the ten minute epic, that is, “Available,” I had to check that Kim wasn’t mentioned in the credits. A little out of the ordinary was the opening song, “Rattle.” Based around “Dry bones rattling,” the overall sound is typical gunge. “My Testimony” is another lengthy song, while the title track simply plods along, as it praises the Lord. The highlight, for me, comes mid-album with “Never Lost.” Why? Because, it is a performance song, sung brilliantly by the talented Tauren Wells. I thought that “Have My Heart” started off well. Unfortunately, it soon became obvious that this was one of those “had to be there” spontaneous worship times. While I’ll admit that there’s nothing wrong with the lyrics and basic structure of each song, I would really like to hear something that would really excite me, as a worshipper. Is that asking too much? Of this release, think Jesus Culture. Think, Bethel Music. Think Passion. I think you’ll get my drift.   6/10.

GRAMMY® nominated ELEVATION WORSHIP have released an acoustic version of “Available.”

The song is taken from their release of GRAVES INTO GARDENS. The project debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart and broke an Apple Music record in the Christian & Gospel genre garnering the title as most pre-added album of all time.

“I hope the songs on this album would revive hope and stir faith that God is still specializing in resurrection,” says Elevation Worship’s Chris Brown. “He’s still turning mourning into dancing, turning our heaviness into praise. And he’s still making beautiful things, out of seemingly hopeless situations.”

Elevation Worship Announces “Graves Into Garden” Project

ELEVATION WORSHIP is gearing up for the release of their 11th career project with GRAVES INTO GARDENS, out worldwide May 1, 2020. The title track single and accompanying video are now available. In support of their new music, Elevation Worship will also embark on its ‘Elevation Nights’ U.S. arena tour this spring with Pastor Steven Furtick kicking off May 26 in Austin, Texas.

GRAVES INTO GARDENS is a live album featuring 10 newly penned tracks that dynamically showcase the collective talents of the group while spotlighting a number of special guests. These include the title track’s (“Graves Into Gardens”) lead vocal from Bethel Music’s GRAMMY® nominated Brandon Lake, who is also credited as co-writer on the song, and an appearance from GRAMMY® nominee Tauren Wells on “Never Lost.”

“Our hope is that this album provides a new perspective that allows listeners to see new life in seemingly dead places,” says Elevation Worship’s Chris Brown. “We want the music and message to elevate their faith to believe in the resurrection power of all the dreams, hopes, and promises they’ve sown. And to be reminded that in every season, and every circumstance, God is able to do more than we could ask or imagine when we trust Him with our present and future. What God breathes on must come to life, and what we may see as a grave, God sees as a garden.”

Elevation Worship is the musical expression of Elevation Church, a multisite church based in Charlotte, N.C. founded by lead Pastor Steven Furtick.
