Colton Dixon Brings His Unmistakable Pop Vocals to Feature Film SIGHT

Angel Studios is honored to announce that Atlantic Recording Artist Colton Dixon has released the title track for the upcoming feature film SIGHT. “Rest of My Life (From the Original Motion Picture SIGHT)” is available now on all major music platforms, through Atlantic Records.

“When I first heard “Rest of My Life,” I instantly knew it was a fit for the film’s epilogue,” shares Ryan Svendsen, Angel Studios Head of Music. “It is extremely rare for the spirit and lyrics of a song to be an uncanny match for a scene but the stars aligned beautifully with Colton’s track for SIGHT. We are honored to have Colton’s uplifting music bring out this important moment and we know that this song will be a reminder of not only the film but of the miracle that we are not confined by the things that we can physically see.”

“Sometimes when you write a song, it takes on a life of its own,” shares Dixon. “After I experienced the film and got to meet Dr. Wang in person, the lyrics and cadence of the song took on a whole new meaning. I can’t wait for this song and the film to impact the world in a powerful way.”

Lyrics to “Rest of My Life (From the Original Motion Picture SIGHT)” –
Spent most of my life
Killin’ my time on the sidelines wishin’ I
Had a purpose had a reason had a why
I was searching with a blindfold In the dark
Til I met you and you rescued my heart
Was lost and found Was blind but now I’ll never be the same

For the rest of my LIFE
I’m gonna reach higher I’m gonna live for what I believe
Everyday three sixty-five right up until the day that I DIE
In every moment be everything you made me to be
I’m not afraid with you right by my side for the rest of my

See it clearer in the mirror eyes are open
Cuz it’s in Him that I’m placing all my hope in
Yeah, you loved me first now my universe is and will always be yours

For the rest of my LIFE
I’m gonna reach higher I’m gonna live for what I believe
Everyday three sixty-five right up until the day that I DIE
In every moment be everything you made me to be
I’m not afraid with you right by my side for the rest of my life

I was dying only trying to survive
But now I’m thriving Living like I am alive
Ain’t it crazy How in the blink of an eye
You could change me for the rest of my life LIFE

I’m gonna reach higher I’m gonna live for what I believe
Everyday three sixty-five right up until the day that I DIE
In every moment be everything you made me to be
I’m not afraid with you right by my side for the rest of my life

Lauren Daigle Celebrates One Billion Streams On Pandora

Lauren Daigle was recently presented with a plaque celebrating one billion streams on Pandora.

Daigle recently signed her first major label deal with Atlantic Records, hoping to cross over into the pop mainstream with her third album – her soulful sound is a mixture of Adele and Joss Stone – while bracing herself for the backlash from Christians who don’t condone mixing the sacred with the profane. “It’s not nearly as bad as it could have been, I’ll say that,” Daigle tells me from her home in New Orleans, wearing a broad smile under an even broader hat. “There’s way more people cheering me on than upset, so I’ll take it.”

New Single & Album from Lauren Daigle

Two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning singer and songwriter LAUREN DAIGLE debuts her new single, ‘Thank God I Do,’ and announces her forthcoming self-titled album, Lauren Daigle, due out May 12, 2023.

“Thank God I Do” marks the launch of a new creative chapter for the multi-platinum selling, Louisiana-bred artist, who just last month announced the signing to Atlantic Records in partnership with longtime label home Centricity Music. The creative team behind Lauren Daigle is led by Grammy®-winning producer Mike Elizondo (Twenty One Pilots, Mary J. Blige, Fiona Apple, Carrie Underwood), and includes co-writes with Natalie Hemby, Shane McAnally, Amy Wadge, Lori McKenna, Jason Ingram and Jon Greene to name a few. Lauren Daigle comprises twenty soulful and uplifting songs to be released in two parts. The first ten songs arrive May 12, and the other ten release later this year.

“This is my most precious project,” Daigle shares, “It’s got fun moments, solemn moments, extrovert moments and introvert moments. And I’m just thrilled about taking my songwriting further on this record than anything I’ve done previously.”

Lauren Daigle taps into every side of the multi-faceted artist herself – showcasing her stunning and powerful voice, rich storytelling, and incredible musicality drawn from and inspired by her New Orleans roots.

With over a billion streams and years of sold-out US and international tours to her name, Lauren Daigle continues to cement her status as a modern vocal powerhouse with a global, ever-growing fanbase.   https://www.laurendaigle.com/

American Idol’s COLTON DIXON Announces the April 28th release of his 7-song EP, Canvas (Atlantic)

The EP’s highly-anticipated new single, “My Light,” can be heard below.

Canvas and “My Light” follow the biggest song of Dixon’s career to-date “Build A Boat,” which, at 10 weeks became the longest running No. 1 Mediabase Christian AC song of 2022, also spawning “Build A Boat (feat. Gabby Barrett),” with multi-platinum and award-winning Country star Gabby Barrett.

“My Light,” penned by the team behind “Build A Boat,” Swedish songwriting team Robin Sternberg and Johan Lindbrant, along with Dixon, Pete Becker, Dan Caplan and Seth Mosley. Produced by Lindbrant and Stjernberg, the track is one Dixon reflects on personally:

“Over the last couple of years, we’ve all been in a dark place,” he admits. “It was like, ‘Man, I’m not sure if the world will come back’. In my case, I didn’t know if I’d ever tour again. The twins were born in the same year I lost my main source of income—which is touring. It was scary. If I’ve ever been afraid, I know there’s someone who loves me and will guide me through – God is my light, but we all can relate to people in our lives that help strengthen us as well and keep us going. It’s such a fun song but its message is what I love most about it.”

In addition to “My Light” and both versions of “Build A Boat,” Canvas features four other tunes, including the anthemic “Giants,” written and produced by Grammy-nominee Joe London (Jason Derulo, Lizzo, Thomas Rhett), the piano-driven “Hold Onto Hope,” a fire-filled vocal performance on “Unbreakable,” and the delicate title-track, “Canvas.”   https://www.coltondixon.com/
