This is alternative-pop duo Apollo LTD’s first album in over three years, and the follow-up to 2021’s Nothing is Ordinary, Everything is Beautiful. The songs on the album are about the human experience and discovering how God relates to us in every aspect of it. The ups and the downs. Joy and sorrow. Pain and beauty. ‘Breakthrough’ is the first track, and I was instantly comparing it to the sound of The Newsboys. Contemporary pop with a great tune and an ear worm of a chorus. The theme continues with ‘Dreaming,’ while ‘Soul Worth Saving’ is a slightly slower song. The recent single, ‘Future’s Calling’ is a call to those who still need to hear the word of God. A mixture of guitars and keyboards, along with a thumping beat, make this a great listen. The overall sound of each track is really bright – none of this indescribable “mush” that often happens with questionable production. There’s a really anthemic feel to the chorus of ‘Say So (Halo Broken)’ and I soon found myself singing along. By this time (song 7) I was really enjoying the album. Although, I couldn’t shake that comparison with Newsboys, Apollo LTD were proving to be a quality outfit in their own right. All the songs just hit the right spot for me. ‘A Day in the Life’ is so infectious, that I was singing this for hours after hearing it. It’s the one that looks at the ups and downs of life, and how – with God’s help – we can get through each day. So simple, but brilliant. From there, we move to ‘Undeniably You’, a ballad, and beautifully sung. Closing with ‘Eden,’ I must admit that this release is an early contender for album of the year. 10/10.

This song was written from a place of gratitude for God’s steadfast faithfulness to His promises and His people.”
“We hope it serves as a reminder and encouragement to everyone that hears it that The Lord is always moving in the direction of redemption, renewal and freedom,” adds Stark. “And if we can allow Him to move within us, He will redeem our past and create a path for our future that is better than we could have ever imagined.”
My heart cries hallelujah
Who I was is dead and gone

This is my redemption song

Residence/Centricity Music’s cinematic, alternative-pop duo Apollo LTD releases to radio its first single and video of 2022, “Soul Worth Saving.” Listed as New and Active on the Billboard Christian Airplay chart, the song was written by Apollo LTD’s Jordan Phillips and Adam Stark along with three-time GRAMMY-nominated, Dove Award-winning songwriter Ethan Hulse.
“As Adam and I look at two albums worth of material in this band, we see a common thread that has run in and out of our music for a long time,” reveals Phillips. “That thread is communicating a message to all people, both the believer and the non-believer, that we have worth and value in the eyes of God. That we are treasured by the Father as we are, not as we should be.”
This big-picture view of the duo’s music formulated the basis for the new track. “The message is simple, but it’s taken me a long time to fully understand the depth of it,” confesses Phillips. “I hope you realize what Heaven has known for all eternity: we are all souls worth saving.”
Don’t you know
You’ve got a soul worth saving (oh don’t you know, don’t you know)
Don’t you know
You’re still a heart worth chasin’ (oh don’t you know)
There’s love reaching deeper
Behind the hurt in your eyes
A diamond that can still shine
I hope someday you realize
What heaven already knows
You’ve got a soul worth saving (don’t you know)
You’re a soul worth saving
(“Soul Worth Saving” Chorus)
Apollo LTD puts an exclamation point on the hope shared in “Soul Worth Saving” in its studio performance video released today and produced by Emmy- and Dove Award-nominated director Elliott Eicheldinger.

REview Xtra – Apollo LTD : Out of Body @WeAreApolloLTD
APOLLO LTD : Out Of Body. (Residence Music)
A modern pop EP with bags of energy, it kicks off with a chorus (“Heaven”) so hi-NRG it threatened my speakers. This EP has a magnificent production ethic: everything is there for a purpose – that opening, the bass line in “One In A Million”, the Beatles-ish keyboard on “Tired Of LA”, the Queen-like bassline on “Man I Used To Know”, the falsetto “All Right!” on “Supernatural”; they’re all there to lead your ears into the song and make sure they don’t leave. There are riffs and flicks all over the place, making this far more sonically interesting than me calling it “modern pop” might lead you to believe. But is it more than a glossy surface (albeit one that’s several inches thick)? It certainly is. The songwriting and performance is top notch. Modern pop, of course, survives on two things: the chorus (very singable, especially “One In A Million”) and whether it makes you want to dance (not me, but I can easily visualise others doing so). The overall sound reminded me a lot of Tears For Fears (production), early Take That (melodies) and Thomas Dolby (the way they use the keyboards) – very 80s stylistically, but brought bang up to date sonically giving rise to comparisons with the likes of Jason Derulo and The Wanted. I found it never let up and craved for a breather – others may be glad it never dips. Best track: “One In A Million”. 7/10. Paul Ganney.
