Australian songwriter and worship leader Mitch Wong introduces ‘Burial’, the first single from his forthcoming debut album. Written in collaboration with Cody Carnes, the new song explores the biblical nature of death and resurrection. “I knew that this song would be track number one because the album goes on a journey from ‘burial’ to ‘bloom’,” Mitch comments. Yet, more than a structural and creative move, introducing his project with ‘Burial’ sets the scene for the revelation carried in his song writing: the mystery that unfolds after the burial is that we are made new creations in Christ; the old is gone and behold, the new has come.

The theological depth of Mitch Wong’s songs is central in his ministry, and ‘Burial’ expands on the challenging call to discipleship that one must face when following Jesus. “I hope this song provides revelation and wakes people up to the countercultural nature of the Kingdom of God,” he adds.

The weighty and hopeful message of ‘Burial’ is shared on an airy and bright soundscape transpiring with the artist’s joy and conviction. “Can you just imagine all the beautiful little miracles that wait beyond our choice to bury our fears, our pride, and our busy schedules?! The way of the Kingdom is dying to self and living for Christ […] I pray this song will stir believers to embrace that,” he concludes. With ‘Burial’, Mitch Wong offers the Church a worshipful call to discipleship and a reminder that Jesus asks for our surrender.

Joseph Espinoza, Lebron Arnwine, Ana Nobrega, and Evelyn Cortazio got to meet and write together at a REVERE spiritual formation retreat focusing on Portuguese and English songs. As they had never met before, the group started by sharing their testimonies and were so stirred by what God had done for each of them that they penned a song focused on encouraging the Church to exclaim praise to the Lord. ‘Bless His Name’ reminds us of the Lord’s wonderful acts, from the Old Testament to Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. This song invites us to ‘Bless His Name’ and “proclaim his fame with every breath” with a celebratory “undignified spirit of David” type of arrangement, Joseph Espinoza notes. REVERE’s English unscripted version of ‘Bless His Name’ starts off with a drum loop evolving on a piano melody and strong vocals from Joseph, capturing the raw spirit of praise of that moment.

Vineyard Worship announce new single ‘Look To Him (I See The Light)’. The song was recorded live at Dreaming the Impossible, a festival for young people from churches everywhere, which gathered three thousand from across the UK this summer. ‘Look To Him (I See The Light)’ is led by Jon Solway, who together with Beth McNeil, Harmony Smith and Rich Dicas, also penned the new song. Full of energy and inviting, Dreaming the Impossible’s new single starts as a prayerful picture of light breaking through the clouds, bringing warmth, life, and refreshing. “Many young people face huge challenges with mental health [and] we wanted to write a song that reminds us all of the truth that the light of God’s Kingdom breaks into our dark world,” Jon comments. ‘Look To Him (I See The Light)’ is, at its core, a song of hope which is clearly contagious as the live event’s crowd joins in with dynamic singing. Jon concludes with the outcome of what the new Dreaming the Impossible single seeks to have in the Church, “Together we can look to Him, and together we’ll see Him move.”‘Look To Him (I See The Light)’ was produced by Jonny Bird.

We are thrilled to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Paul Wilbur‘s ‘Holy Fire’ album with a Deluxe edition! The album came out of Wilbur’s passion for the Presence and move  the Holy Spirit to burn like a fire in the Church, and from a hunger for His presence. The title track, ‘Holy Fire’, came to Wilbur in a dream. As he woke up and wrote the lyrics to the song, the rest of the album followed. ‘Holy Fire’ is still relevant for the church today, bringing songs of revival and passion for us to carry into the next twenty-five years and beyond.
