INTEGRITY MUSIC RELEASES – 31st October 2020

Two weeks before Covid-19 brought the world to a standstill, Integrity Music gathered its family of worship leaders to record a special project ‘Revere’, tracing the journey of contemporary worship from intimacy to intensity, then pointing toward a new season of worship in the fear of the Lord. After months of preparation and a full week of recording, we moved the grand piano into the middle of the room and invited everyone to gather around. The work had paid off and REVERE: Unscripted was in the can. It was time to get out of ‘production mode’ and exhale. The worship that followed was unscripted and unrehearsed, but we rolled the cameras, just in case…

RESISTANCE is a movement involving various young singers and songwriters in the French speaking world. Dreaming of filling empty churches with the sound of prayer and worship again, founder and established musician Matt Marvane embraced humble beginnings and launched acoustic worship nights around the country, thriving into a dynamic, multifaceted experience today. After four introductory singles presenting various artists and eclectic sounds over the past month, RESISTANCE release their new self-titled EP. From soul pop to gospel infused tracks, the release invites all genres, ethnicities and expressions in the pursuit of one goal: to lift the name of Jesus over nations.

Sandra McCracken releases the deluxe version of her first-ever holiday album titled Christmas. The singer, songwriter, and modern-day hymn writer has been writing and recording music for more than two decades drawing from folk, gospel, and hymn traditions. McCracken is well-known for crafting songs that weave together storytelling and Scripture all while translating God’s comfort and love. Her Christmas album is no exception. “I hope for my music to help stir people to ask the important questions, to bring comfort and hope, and to help people sing together. A Christmas album is all the more reason to do just that.”

It was on a trip to Israel two years ago when she visited the birthplace of Jesus and the shepherd’s field near Bethany that pushed her to make Christmas. She shares, “I finally decided I didn’t need to overthink it. I wanted to enjoy the process, to sing these songs about the sacred story of the birth of Jesus. We still need the light of Jesus to break into our darkness. Sometimes we need familiar melodies to remind us that we have a place where we belong. In addition to the eleven songs from her 2019 release, Christmas (Deluxe) includes an ‘acoustic kitchen remix’ of the Christmas classic “Go Tell It On the Mountain” and an original song “Mary’s Arms.” Sandra McCracken‘s Christmas (Deluxe) will also be available for sale on vinyl.

Grammy Award winner and global worship leader, Matt Redman, writer of 10,000 Reasons and Blessed Be Your Name, is highly regarded as a songwriter who can capture the revelation of God and the response of the Church in his songs. Jesus Your Name reinforces faith for today. From the opening lines of the chorus, ‘Jesus Your name when the whole world shakes‘ to the verse cry, ‘In every storm, You’re the Prince Of Peace.’ In keeping with churches now meeting in smaller numbers and smaller communities, Jesus Your Name has been beautifully captured in a rich organic setting, making this song both a beautiful daily soundtrack of faith and an accessible arrangement for worship leaders and churches.

Sarah Kroger is a Nashville-based, Catholic worship leader and songwriter who has been on an exciting journey of passionately leading worship for events around the world, drawing people from a variety of cultures and church backgrounds under the banner of Jesus for the past ten years. The artist’s passion is to create a safe and prayerful space through her music in which people can encounter the heart of God in a profound way. Sarah described her experience with new album ‘Light’ as “eye opening”. With it being her first album released through a label, she got to experience new facets of the Christian music community. Whereas her previous albums were crafted alongside Catholic writers, ‘Light’ got her collaborating with mainly protestant writers. The kindness, love and conversations shared through the whole process intertwined the experience of unity and vulnerability at the centre of this project. The album explores our self-awareness and relationship with God. It’s about understanding what leads us to the darkness and accepting the vulnerability of standing in the Light, where we get exposed and purified. With singles ‘Standing In Your Light’, ‘Belovedness’, ‘Monument’, ‘A Thousand Thank Yous’ and ‘Unbroken Family’, Sarah Kroger introduces a soundscape that mixes honesty with courage, pointing to the album’s encouragement of continually staying in relationship with the Lord. As a contemporary worship leader in the Catholic Church, she gives a new language to people’s relationship with Jesus – ‘Light’ is an inspiration to keep saying yes to vulnerability, intimacy and honesty.

RESISTANCE release 4th single ‘À Lui Seul Soit La Gloire’ ft. Yann Kato. This song is a testimony to the greatness of our Almighty God inspired by Romans 11:34-35, “Who has known the mind of the Lord?Or who has been his counsellor?” Who has ever given to God,that God should repay them? For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.” We can often give credit to a coincidence, our efforts, or our own strength when in reality all things flow from the grace of God. ‘À Lui Seul Soit La Gloire’ (To Him Alone Be All Glory) is an invitation to reconsider the goodness of God and to give Him the glory He is due. What if Jesus liked the sound of good pop music? This question fuels Local Sound‘s passion and is fully reflected in their new EP ‘The Free World, Vol. 2’. The Nashville-based band built around the movement and community of MyLocal are best described as culture creators, crafting youthful, thoughtful, authentic and engaging worship for a new generation. The “local” within Local Sound speaks to the roots of their identity and call to serve, “We fully back God’s dream of “The Local Church” and we believe that God, the original Culture Creator, has designed the local church as plan “A”—to immerse the world in His culture,” the band explains. With ‘The Free World, Vol. 2’, the “sound” element is unwrapped as a reflection of their heart and passion to unite the word of God with high energy, innovative music that reaches the world. The explosive pop soundscape and relevance of the inspiring message-driven songs that express the joy found in a life fully devoted to Christon ‘The Free World, Vol. 2’ undoubtedly answers the initial question with a resounding YES.

Worship movement RESISTANCE introduce third single ‘Au Calvaire’ ft. Ketsia. This song came out of Ketsia’s own struggle with feelings of failure and guilt eating away at her life. Realising that the heavy weight she carried around had already been borne by the overwhelming love of Christ at Calvary, she penned ‘Au Calvaire’ as a double-edged hymn of realisation and remembrance. Unbroken Family, Sarah Kroger‘s new single featuring Matt Maher was written in 2018 as a batch of sexual scandals in the Catholic church surfaced: “We were hurt, angry, and confused. We wrote this song because we needed to sing it. We wrote it as an honest prayer for a reality that we believed was possible: that we would be a part of an unbroken family,” Sarah explains. Dare we dream that God can restore all things and make them new? Dare we dream that we could be an unbroken family? Colossians 1 says: “In Him all things hold together. He is the head of the body, the church… For in him all the fullness was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile all things for him, making peace by the blood of his cross.” Rather than believe we are broken and everything we touch will break, we can believe that God is making us whole. Even more, He wants to use us to bring wholeness and restoration to the people we meet and walk with.

RESISTANCE thrived into a dynamic, multifaceted experience and is now releasing its first single, ‘Jehovah’, written by Jessy Elsa Palma. The Paris-based soul pop singer-songwriter penned this song as the truth of God’s wonder re-energised her in the midst of difficult times. He is Jehovah, our Lord worthy of all praise.
