“We truly believe that sound precedes movement and we hope that as you sing these songs your lives shall reflect a move of God,” shares Pastor Ron Carpenter of Redemption Church. “That He’ll be revealed to you as a keeper of His word, as a forgiver and a friend and as a miracle worker.”

Red Worship has built an engaged fanbase by releasing key worship moments from their weekly Sunday services, reaching more than 600k people monthly on socials. Their song, “Forgive and Forget” feat. Lizzie Morgan Joins Provident Entertainment, Debuts First Single ‘Maybe The Miracle’

As the home to many of today’s biggest artists, songs, and songwriters, Provident Entertainment/Sony Music continues to grow its roster by announcing the newest member to its family, Lizzie Morgan. With her first solo single out now, “Maybe The Miracle,” a music video has also been released. Watch it below.

“Releasing ‘Maybe the Miracle’ holds a profound significance for me, it goes beyond being just a song; it stands as concrete evidence of God’s unwavering sovereignty and redemption,” Morgan shares. “This song is a testament that even in the midst of devastation, miracles can unfold, underscoring the truth that we are never forgotten. I am deeply grateful for the valuable lesson my Grandparents imparted, to always maintain faith in the unfailing commitment of God! My earnest prayer is that this song becomes a source of hope for the despairing, faith for the doubting, and light for those who find themselves unable to see a way out.”

Lizzie Morgan’s professional music career quickly launched in 2017 when she began singing background vocals for multi-GRAMMY Award winner Lauren Daigle. It was between tours that Morgan began honing in on her musical skills, performing with and writing for a variety of artists and projects including Matt Maher, Maverick City Music, Seasons Collective, Red Worship, and WILDER, a duo she formed with songwriter Stefan Cashwell. Their song, “Heaven’s Secrets,” achieved over 1M cumulative streams in its first year of release.

Yet it was growing up in Tennessee and being part of the church her grandparents started, Celebration of Life outside of Nashville, where Lizzie Morgan learned to sing and lead worship. Today, she continues to lead worship there while also splitting her time in San Jose, CA as part of the worship team at Redemption Church, the home of Red Worship.

“We are incredibly excited to begin this partnership with Lizzie Morgan, both on the label and publishing side,” shares Holly Zabka, President of Provident Entertainment. “We’re thrilled that the world gets to hear what she has been creating, and we can’t wait to hear more of Lizzie’s heart through these songs.”

NFN Music Review – MATT MAHER : The Stories I Tell Myself.   (Provident Label Group)

“If you lose yourself, there’s a story you can be found in. These are the stories I tell myself,” Maher says of the new collection. Other than that, the press release for this album tells me nothing about the songs. Many people have tried to write a song around ‘The Lord’s Prayer,’ but Matt does it very well, as it opens the track listing. From there, we move to the contemporary worship style of ‘Bigger Table.’ Chris Brown joins Matt for ‘In the Room’ which also has some lovely slide guitar sounds. Another duet features Matt and Lizzie Morgan. ‘Leaning’ focuses on the fellowship between us and God, with the line “I am leaning on your everlasting arms.” This is a really well produced song, and one that I immediately played again. The title track reminisces of Bible stories, and how important they are in the singer’s life. Songs like ‘The Answer is Yes’ and ‘The Way You Love Me’ have a gospel feel about them, and they swing along quite nicely.  With 20 tracks on the album, there’s plenty of music and thoughtful lyrics for everyone. Saying that, a few tracks are repeated with live versions. Of the latter, I really enjoyed ‘The Time is Now’ which reminded me of an old Del Amitri song. All in all, a creditable release from Matt.  8/10. Geoff Howlett
