Israel Houghton Announces New Album Release for October 7th

Israel & New Breed, has announced the release of its forthcoming live album, Worship Anywhere, which was recorded at Camp NewBreed in Nassau, NY and is available October 7. The 14-track project features spirited collaborations with Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, DOE, Nate Diaz and more, and it’s all led by 6x GRAMMY-winning artist, songwriter and producer Israel Houghton.

In anticipation, the group is offering fans two instant-grat tracks, “New Breed Anthem” and “Miracles, Signs and Wonders,” both available now. The songs offer both a joyful, stomp-clap singalong that sets the tone for the album, as well as a dynamic, feel-good groove. With songs such as “Wrong About You” and the album’s title track, which feature driving acoustic guitars, heart-thumping rhythm sections and a breathtaking choir, or “Campfire Coritos,” which is sung entirely in Spanish, Worship Anywhere is an uplifting experience with something for everybody that is sure to have people joyfully jumping out of their seats.

NFN Review Zone – BELISA JOHN : Worship Medley. (@BelisaJohn)

Belisa John is a Multiple Award-winning Gospel Minister and recording artiste. The medley single features popular worship tunes like “Alpha And Omega” by Israel & New Breed, and “WayMaker” by Sinach. It’s a smooth start, both musically and vocally, that builds with the addition of a chorale backing. Belisa continues to lead the vocals in a worshipful style that tends to lose its clarity mid-track. Indeed, upon first listen, I failed to recognise any reference to ‘Waymaker,’ due to this problem. Unfortunately, production quality isn’t too good, and the overall recording suffers.   3/10.

Israel Houghton & New Breed Release Live Worship Experience

After months of experimenting with a remote quarantine setup, Dove and GRAMMY Award-winning singer/songwriter, producer and worship leader ISRAEL HOUGHTON is bringing the at-home intimacy of his Worship Wednesday sessions and the electricity of a live Israel and New Breed recording to listeners with  Feels Like Home: The Quarantine Worship Experience.

Recorded live, the 14-track Feels Like Home is available to stream and to purchase in digital, CD and vinyl formats.  The Feels Like Home project blossomed out of Houghton’s idea in early 2020 to remotely stream worship services, the impetus behind what would become his “Worship Wednesdays,” after seeing an opportunity to explore and reinvent group worship dynamics online throughout the pandemic.

The Israel and New Breed ensemble of vocalists and musicians streamed Feels Like Home live from Houghton’s sister-in-law’s New York home in November after each member agreed to quarantine and test for COVID-19 prior to the gathering. Deftly led by Houghton alongside his wife, Adrienne, the ensemble performed while seated “in the round,” creating a warm improvisatory looseness reminiscent of Gospel music’s roots as a communal religious celebration and experience. This includes new single “Hymn of Breakthrough,” a brightly burning, slow-building epiphany of the “sound of breakthrough” as it echoes throughout the ensemble.

GRAMMY, Dove and Stellar Award-winning artist, producer, composer, arranger and musician AARON LINDSAY announces the launch of MultiEthnic Records, a boutique Los Angeles-based label representing a variety of artists and genres.
