Iveth’s EP follows the release of her most recent single, “Just Like Jesus” and the launch of its accompanying music video. Iveth Luna shares her excitement over this debut EP and says, “This project has been a long time coming. God has been so faithful and I am beyond excited these songs are finally out in the world. I hope each of these songs meets listeners right where God met me the day we wrote them.”

From Avalon to Avalon Worship!

American Music Award-winning, GRAMMY-nominated pop vocal group AVALON has long been admired for show-stopping, mega-hits like “Testify To Love,” “Can’t Live A Day,” and “Adonai.” While these iconic compositions have shaped their legacy and remain close to their hearts, the members of Avalon – Janna Long, Greg Long, Jody McBrayer, and Dani Rocca-Herbert – are ready to explore a new musical direction.

With the release of a self-titled, brand-new project, the group has officially announced a name change – Avalon Worship.

Produced by Don Koch, this new Red Street Records project – Avalon Worship – reflects who they are as individuals as well as a worship collective.

“For the past eleven years Greg and I have been staff worship leaders at a local church north of Houston,” Janna says. “Jody’s also a staff worship leader at a church in Ohio. Dani became a worship leader right out of high school. Leading worship has been a natural progression in our personal lives, so it made sense to extend that into our recording world.” “We’re all personally in a place where we need the connection only genuine worship can bring,” Jody adds. “There’s real healing and safety in the presence of God. These songs are where we are as adults and as Christians and believers.”   https://www.instagram.com/avalon.worship/

NFN review Zone – JASON CRABB : Home for Christmas.   (Red Street Records)

Apparently, this 3 track EP is a taster of what’s to come on a full Jason Crabb release, Christmas 2022. The title track was written by Crabb, Don Koch, Caleb Ward and Jordan Ward and celebrates the importance of family above the trappings of the season. It’s a slow paced song that has plenty of horns and strings taking the musical lead. The Mark Lowry and Buddy Greene-penned Christmas classic, ‘Mary Did You Know.’ gets a smooth outing. The Press Release states that it’s a ‘new rendition,’ but I didn’t think that it was much different from many previous versions. ‘Who Could Have Dreamed’ focuses on the true meaning of Christmas, with Jason giving, possibly, his best vocal performance of the 3 songs. Once again, strings play a big part of the musical production, resulting in a lovely pop ballad. Overall, it’s a 6/10 from me.

Jason Crabb Releases Home for Christmas EP

Home For Christmas, the latest holiday offering from two-time GRAMMY Award winner and 22-time Dove Award honoree Jason Crabb, from Red Street Records. The three-song EP was produced and arranged by the late Tim Akers (Reba McEntire, CeCe Winans), along with GRAMMY-winning Rascal Flatts founding member and Red Street CEO Jay DeMarcus.

The project features two original selections as well as Crabb’s new rendition of the Mark Lowry and Buddy Greene-penned Christmas classic, “Mary, Did You Know?” With its horn-studded R&B groove, the nostalgic title-cut, “Being Home For Christmas,” was written by Crabb, Don Koch, Caleb Ward and Jordan Ward and celebrates the importance of family above the trappings of the season. And “Who Could’ve Dreamed?” is an Inspirational pop ballad penned by Koch, Akers and Tony Wood spotlighting the true meaning of Christmas as Crabb proclaims, “Who could have looked into that holy stable and seen the shadow of the cross?”

The Home For Christmas EP previews Crabb’s full-length holiday recording set for release next year. “When I signed to Red Street and Jay asked me what I wanted to do, I told him a Christmas project was one of my dream records,” Crabb shares. “I’ve been doing music for a while now, and you hope and pray for something that helps define your legacy. I think this Christmas project is that record for me. These are the songs I hope my grandkids will grab hold of and be proud of what Grandpa did.”

“I was so honored to work with Tim Akers again, and this was his last project,” Crabb says. “He was a friend and we’d collaborated before, but this time was special. Tim was producing and arranging the strings for the record when his leukemia came back. He even sat in the hospital in his last days and worked on the music. Nashville lost an amazing talent in Tim, and I really want this record to honor his life. We love you, Tim.”

Home For Christmas arrives on the heels of Crabb’s June Red Street Records debut, Just As I Am. Produced by DeMarcus, the five-song EP is highlighted by the title-cut and lead single—a powerful declaration of faith in the One who is constant and sure.

Song Inspired by Husband’s Weight Loss.

Eva Kroon Pike

“Born To Run,” the new single from singer/songwriter EVA KROON PIKE’s current CD, Love Is All About You, was released in July. The song, written by Pike and veteran Christian hit songwriter Don Koch, and was inspired, in part, by Pike’s husband, Jonny. “Running took on a new meaning when my husband of almost 10 years decided to ‘get healthier’ and started running for weight loss,” Pike says. “A year later and almost 90 pounds lighter, Jonny reached his physical goal of getting fit. I immediately thought of how we need to spiritually run the race for Christ, with endurance, towards the ultimate goal, heaven. My hope for ‘Born To Run’ is that it will encourage others to get physically and spiritually ‘fit’ for God.”
