Update from UK Singer Songwriter, Gareth Davies-Jones.

Gareth Davies Jones

UK Singer-songwriter, GARETH DAVIES-JONES recently wrote; “When I started this musical adventure back in 2004 I thought I might get a year or so to write and record before getting back to the mainstream world of work. As it turns out here I am celebrating ten years as a professional singer-songwriter. So far there’s been six solo albums, two collaborative albums and a raft of tours and projects. I’ve been privileged to have the music take me to some magnificent places, meet some amazing people and work with some inspiring organisations. I’m incredibly grateful for all of it and especially to you for walking with me by purchasing the music, hosting and attending the concerts and encouraging the creativity. Hopefully there’s much more to come.”

The Happening – Gareth Davies-Jones @waterandlight

Gareth Davies JonesMonday 14th October saw the release of ‘Now But Not Yet’ the first full solo album from GARETH DAVIES-JONES for some three years. It is available from most internet download sites and  He says “After coming off the road in mid June to concentrate fully on writing and arranging the material I’ve ended up with an album of 12 original songs. From the story of an unexploded first world war mine in Belgium, a ballad in tribute to the remarkable international children’s education advocate Malala Yousafzai, to an evocative musical visit to the aesthetic delight that is Rua Reidh in Scotland’s far North West, I hope there will be something for everyone.”

Singer/songwriter, GARETH DAVIES-JONES writes; So officially from Saturday 1st December Nine Lessons is here. Pretty much the start of Advent is a fine  time to launch a Christmas album. Many of you will know that for the last few years I’ve been touring in late November and most of December delivering my interpretation of some of our best known and best loved Christmas songs. Mostly in small and cosy venues, the music, the ambience, sharing the context in which the songs were written and often the space to consider the lyrics and melodies afresh has been a treat for artist and audience alike. Recorded at The Foundry Music Lab in Motherwell the album is a fair representation of the intimacy of these gigs, and I hope will bring something of the atmosphere right to you as you listen. As it will be a download only product you can hear samples from all the tracks on the album at Webshop site. You can go straight from there to download the full album from our distributor CD Baby. The album is also available from i-Tunes and other reputable online retailers.
