Eclectic and pioneering singer/songwriter ORLANDO RODRIGUEZ is generating excitement with audiences across the country with the release of his debut solo project, Turn the World Off. The CD, which was produced and mixed by hit-maker Chuck Alkazian (Percy Bady, Desmond Pringle, Christina Aguilera) at Pearl Sound in Canton, Michigan, released to retail through Ten Three Records.
Turn the World Off represents a musical journey of faith and showcases a new season of artistry for the multi-talented singer-songwriter, who has toured and shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the music industry–including Backstreet Boys, Destiny’s Child, and *NSYNC–as the lead singer of R&B band P.U.M.P. before turning his music over to the Lord.
“I spent four years of my life pouring into this album,” Rodriguez muses. “We are all so busy, we all have so much going on, we are all so distracted that sometimes it’s hard to hear what God is saying to us. And that’s the real question, isn’t it? Am I hearing from God, or am I simply going about my life and asking God to bless what I’m doing? Sometimes you have to turn the world off and eliminate those external distractions to really hear God!”
